Building More Than a Business

Every company has a beginning. Some begin with an idea. Some begin with an opportunity. Others begin with a financial goal.

Valorem Innovations began with a desire to build something that would dramatically help business owners maximize the value of their business that they’ve poured their blood, sweat, and tears into—and to use the gifts God has given me in service of others.

Throughout my life, I have experienced both failure and success. I have made mistakes, faced challenges, and learned hard lessons that shaped the man I am today. Looking back, I can clearly see God's hand guiding me through seasons I did not always understand at the time. His grace, the steadfast love of my family, and the encouragement of those closest to me have given me opportunities I never could have created on my own.

God has put many people in my life that have been true mentors, critics, naysayers, friends, accusers, and agitators. I have experienced great people with humility and pure hearts, I have also experienced people who are prideful and frankly evil. I am grateful for all of these people, they’ve all taught me great lessons, as painful as many of these lessons were. I’ve witnessed business owners wronged by very smart people trying to maximize their returns at the expense of the business owners. This is my calling. To help business owners not get screwed out of the life changing wealth they deserve.

To accomplish this calling, Valorem Innovations is being built first to honor God. It is being built to provide for my family. It is being built to create opportunities for others. And it is being built to serve business owners, our Valorem Family (teammates, partners, and Clients), and our community with integrity, humility, and excellence.

I believe that faith is not something reserved for Sunday mornings. It should shape the way we live, the way we lead, and the way we conduct business every day. I want the character of this company to reflect the values I strive to live by: honesty, accountability, compassion, hard work, humility, and servant leadership.

That does not mean every client will share my beliefs, nor do they need to. Every person and every business owner who chooses Valorem deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, professionalism, and genuine care. My hope is that people recognize my faith not because I speak of it often, but because they experience it through the way we serve them.

Professionally, Valorem represents the culmination of decades spent leading companies through growth, transformation, and change. My years as an executive—building and leading high-performance teams, carrying full profit-and-loss responsibility across global organizations, and helping businesses operate at their very best—taught me that lasting success is built on preparation, communication, and trust. My service as a veteran taught me discipline, duty, and the weight of leading people well. Those same principles are the foundation of Valorem Innovations.

Valorem is Latin for value, and creating value is the heart of everything we do. We are a technology company that helps business owners harness the power of their people and artificial intelligence to transform how their companies operate—multiplying productivity many times over and, in doing so, increasing the value of the business exponentially. We help owners build companies that run at peak efficiency, depend less on any single person, and become far stronger and more valuable than they were before.

We are not trying to build a company that does everything. We are trying to build a company that does the right things exceptionally well. Growth will never be pursued simply for the sake of becoming bigger. Every tool we develop, every person we hire, every client we serve, and every decision we make should strengthen the company and reinforce the values upon which it was founded.

There will be challenges. Markets will change. Technology will evolve. Mistakes will happen. But our commitment will remain the same. We will keep our word. We will own our mistakes. We will treat people fairly. We will protect our reputation. We will strive for excellence in everything we do.

Most importantly, we will remember that profit is not the purpose of this business. Profit allows us to invest in our people, expand our capabilities, provide for our families, support our churches, serve our community, and create opportunities that would otherwise not exist. It is the fuel that enables the mission—not the mission itself.

When I think about the future of Valorem Innovations, I do not picture a specific revenue goal or a certain size. I picture a company that clients trust without hesitation. A company where employees are proud to work. A company that responds when its community needs help. A company that supports churches, nonprofits, veterans, first responders, and families facing difficult seasons. A company my family can one day look at with pride—not because of its size, but because of its character.

If decades from now, people remember Valorem Innovations as a business that honored God, served people well, treated others with respect, and left every person and community better than it found them, then I will consider this journey a success.

That is the company I am committed to building.

With gratitude and conviction,

Ron Partridge
